Current mood: puzzled
Current music:nothing, because SOMEBODY broke the tv

Day 2, Living Room. Open.
Well, damn.

Kevin traced the jagged edges of the broken glass with a gloved finger. He had rushed into the living room with a bag of freshly microwaved popcorn, not wanting to miss a minute of Clerks on Comedy Central. And now there was a big fat hole in the middle of the beautiful television. Who the hell had done that to the television, and why? Turning, he surveyed the room, as though the perpetrator might still be lurking in a corner somewhere. His eyes fell upon a figure that had just stepped in from the hall.

(( Open. Julie, if the TV has in fact been replaced since Alex broke it, let me know and I'll delete this post. ))

Jubilee was coming in for a similar reason. She just stopped in the door way and stared. She stared and stared and stared.

And then stared some more.

It took a few minutes for it to register, it was like finding a dead body for Jubes. Her jaw dropped and she suddenly found her voice again. "OH MY GOD!!! WHO DESTROYED THE TV?!?!?!" she wailed, rushing over to Kevin's side. It was so not her this time. Jubilee had gotten control over destroying electronics. Besides, the television was sacred.

"What are we going to do? Where are we going to go?! How am I going to get my fashion fix?!" Jubilee covered her mouth as she surveyed the damage. It hurt her heart, it did.

"If this is somehow Mr. Summers' doing...I'll kill him myself!"

"No, no, calm down." Kevin was upset, but Jubilee here looked like she was about to have a nervous breakdown, and it was kind of alarming. "Calm down... Wait, why would Mr. Summers break the TV?" Kevin couldn't imagine someone as rigid and humorless as Mr. Summers losing control of his powers or his temper, and he found Jubilee's assumptions puzzling.

"Mr. Summers is so not what he seems. I bet he had an evil plot for the TV so he could make us play baseball and be all team-like outside," Jubilee said. She crossed her arms. There was no way Mr. Summers would be exempt from the list of possible suspects.

"We have to get to the bottom of this," she said with a nod. "And then make whoever broke it get a new one in here, pronto."

"Fine," Kevin agreed. "Are there any clues?" He scanned his surroundings, but he didn't spot anything right away. Whoever the perpetrator had been, he'd done a good job of cleaning up. Everything appeared to be perfectly clean and normal, aside from, well, the huge ass hole in the TV.

"Well the glass looks a little dark around the edges. Like someone blasted it," Jubilee said, pointing to the broken shards. She peered a little more at the TV. "Looks like it took a blow. I mean, it's totally trashed."

"So the first thing we've got to figure out is like, who has 'blast' like powers. I know I do, but I'd never do that to the TV. I'm out. Mr. Summers could, Rem...er...Mr. LeBeau, Alex because who would ever call him Mr. Summers...Miss Munroe, but she's too chill for somethin' like that. And this is so not lightning caused."

Jubilee blew a bubble as she tried to think of other people who might be behind this EVIL EVIL deed.

"Well, you did say you thought Mr. Summers might be trying to encourage the kids to go outside more, right?" Mournfully, Kevin set his popcorn on top of the television, taking care not to spill any of it. He should have been laughing at Clerks by now, and instead he was staring into a big gaping hole.

"I don't know anything about Mr. LeBeau... I know-- er-- Mr. Alex watches TV a lot." Kevin considered the suspects, frowning. "I don't know, maybe it was an accident. But aren't all those people in good control of their powers?"

"Well, I hear Alex is like a total slacker. And if he's in here a lot..." Jubilee looked like she was thinking. That could be a very dangerous thing. "We should trail him. Maybe we can search his room for clues!"

"Good idea!" Kevin turned and stepped into the hallway, but then stopped short. "Uh... except I don't know which room is his. You go first."

Actually, on second thought, Kevin wasn't even sure what they were supposed to be looking for. Broken glass? A signed confession?

Whatever. No TV, nothing better to do.
